About us
‘We make a living by what we get but we make a life by what we give”, we at LIGHT AND SHINE develop our foundation of our organisation on this Winston Churchill quote. We believe as human beings, we are here to be part of this beautiful world for just a trivial amount of time, LIGHT AND SHINE want to light as many lives with our projects to deliver happiness in every corner in the world.
Legends like Abraham Lincoln spent his childhood by facing adversity in a similar background, he used street lamps to study and became the President of United States.
There are many children around the world who does not have the provision of street lamps to depend, giving them light through LIGHT AND SHINE organisation. If there is a child out there who cannot study because he or she does not have a light source to rely on then we want to bring light to their life.
Our project aims to eliminate the darkness from the world by using the biggest natural energy source, the sun. Solar energy is the best solution used worldwide for energy conservation and for cost effective energy consumption. If you are reading this on a computer then you probably have the luxury of electricity, wondering how I called electricity a luxury? Believe me when I say almost 2 billion people do not have the ‘luxury’ of electricity, we want to reach them out and provide them with the most cost effective energy source, solar energy lamps.
Light is one of the basic needs of man, providing them the most basic necessity of life. Reaching out to these billions of people is what we do, we want to transform the lives by lighting their homes. Current light sources in these families are kerosene lamps which are highly dangerous for health causing different breathing diseases, even cancer. A small effort to reach out to these lives by providing them with solar lamps, and helping them have a healthier life.
5000 Houses have been benefited Till now via this project…

Kerosene lamps that light millions of homes in developing countries have a dark side: black carbon fine particles of soot released into the atmosphere. The World Bank estimates that breathing kerosene fumes is the equivalent of smoking two packets of cigarettes a day and two-thirds of adult females with lung cancer in developing nations are non-smokers.
